2-C polyurethane
Pre-treatment and handling
Ensure that the surfaces to be glued are clean, dry and free from dust and grease. Please also be sure to consult the pre-treatment table for 2-C PUR adhesives. Metals must be pre-treated first, including sanding where required. See pre-treatment table.
Using a stirrer or stirring rod, mix A+B comp. extensively in the mix cartridge (approx. 400 UpM) until the mixture turns a uniform colour. Repot if necessary. Using a spatula, apply the adhesive evenly across the parts to be glued and then join. The thickness of the adhesive layer will depend on the quality and properties of the materials to be joined. Depending on the type of product used, the applied adhesive may be subjected to light loads after 1 – 16 hours. It should reach its ultimate strength after 16 – 36 hours. Higher temperatures will reduce the curing time, while lower ones will increase it. Always clean your tools immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically. Do not allow the uncured material to come into direct contact with the skin. Wear protective gloves.
