Cirteq Ltd. decided to do a bake sale which took place in the heat treatment canteen area during the extended 30-minute break. A raffle was also held during the break and a prize awarded for the best costume. It was fantastic to see what amazing bakers and fancy-dressers there are in the Cirteq team. The enthusiasm and support from everyone who donated prizes, baked cakes, sold raffle tickets and took part in the fancy dress throughout the day was astonishing.
First prize for the "Best Fancy Dress" went to Phil Baxter from Coil Crop, who was kind enough to re-submit his prize for the main raffle.
A total of £640 was raised. As had been agreed in advance, Cirteq Ltd. then doubled the amount raised on the day, meaning that a cheque for 1,280 pounds was handed over to “Children in Need".
Aside from the prizes and cakes donated by our employees to the raffle, companies from around the area also provided a number of prizes. We would like to thank them very much for their generosity:
